Dance in a Subterranean Round House at Clear Lake California

The poem is describing old Native American tradition. When there was a deaths, celebrations or any special occasion they would unite and go to the Round house. Calling the spirits with their instruments while dancing. Honoring the traditions of their ancestors. The writer also describes the clothes worn. In the writers memory these memories are very much valued.

    This writer has no memory of this event- it happened a century ago and they are writing now. the assignment is to describe how your perspective of the original artwork was changed by the contemporary essay that you read. Your response should be much more detailed.
